The process for visitation is by appointment. Visitors are required to call the Visitation Officer at 910-671-3162 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday to schedule an appointment. No calls to schedule visits will be received on weekends and holidays. Visitors will be scheduled for appointments based on the inmate’s last name. The following schedule indicates the day of the week inmates will be allowed to visit.
Monday: inmates with last name A-L
Tuesday: inmates with last name M-Z
Wednesday: designated for female inmates only
Thursdays: inmates with last name A-L
Friday: inmates with last name M-Z
Saturday: designated for female inmates only
Inmates in the Robeson County Detention Center are given the opportunity to complete a visitation list, listing 10 people they wish to visit with. Inmate visitation lists cannot exceed 10 people. Visitation is by appointment only. Visitors must call to request a visit seven (7) days prior to the desired visitation day. All visitors must be on the inmate’s approved visitors list.
All visitors – whether in state or out-of-state, must call at least seven (7) days in advance to schedule a visitation session. Failure to do so will result in the visitation not being approved.
Each adult visitor will be required to present photo identification prior to being allowed to visit (ages 17 and above are considered an adult).
Visitors must be present and on time for their visitation session. Visitors that arrive late will only be allowed to visit for the amount of time remaining for that session. For example, if a visitor has a 9 AM visitation session and they arrive at 9:15 AM, they will only be allowed to visit for five (5) minutes.
Each inmate is allowed to have no more than two (2) adult visitors at a time in the visitation area. Before another visitor can enter the visitation area to visit with an inmate, a visitor must leave the visitation area. Once a visitor leaves the visitation area they will not be allowed to re-enter the visitation area.
During visitation sessions family members must be responsible for their children and not allow them to walk around in the visiting area.
Loud talking, yelling and profanity are prohibited and will result in the termination of the visit.
Acceptable forms of identification are:
- Valid Driver’s License – with photo
- State non-drivers identification card – with photo
- Military identification cardPersons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed to visit and may be asked to leave the facility. All visitors must be in proper attire. The Robeson County Detention Center has the right to refuse any visitor.Attorney visits:For operational and security purposes, attorney visits will not be allowed after 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Under normal circumstances, no weekend attorney visits will be authorized. Should legal issues arise that would require a weekend attorney visit, the attorney will need to contact Jail Administration to request prior approval for a weekend visit by calling 910-671-3164 Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
