To the Citizens of Robeson County:

Let me thank the County Commissioners for appointing me as Sheriff of Robeson County. I've been in Law Enforcement since 1974 and with 30 years experience I've learned that my time does not belong to me it belongs to the Citizens of Robeson County.

In1974 I became employed with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office as a deputy and was promoted to detective of the major crimes division in 1979. The first Juvenile Task Force was formed in 1991, which I became supervisor of. During 1993-1994, positions for School Resource Officers were established for the schools. I was later promoted to Lieutenant of the Juvenile Task Force which was later renamed the Juvenile Division. During these years I have been working with different types of investigations. Also while working with the Juvenile Division a Physical and Sex Abuse Unit was established. Then in December 2004 I was promoted to Captain.

At this time I would like to say it is an honor and a pleasure to be your Sheriff. My goal as Sheriff of Robeson County is to make our Department more successful, respected and professional.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Robeson County Sheriff's Office is to preserve and protect the lives and property of it's citizens by preventing crimes and aggressively pursuing those criminals who have violated Federal, State and County laws and by providing professional humane care and custody of those confined within our correctional facilities.

Officer and staff of the Robeson County Sheriff's Office will constantly strive to meet the highest standards of ethics, honesty and integrity by treating each other and the citizens of Robeson County with dignity, courtesy and respect regardless of departmental or social status. This mission will be accomplished through perseverance and constant vigilance for safeguarding individual liberties of the citizens of Robeson County.
